Breastfeeding

It seems like breastfeeding should be so natural, and yet somehow so many women have challenges. Deciphering the information about what's normal and what's not normal can make things doubly challenging. Whether family or professionals are saying what you and your baby are experiencing is normal, if it feels to you like it shouldn't be this hard, if the solutions everyone has offered are not helping, or just something inside you tells you that this isn't right, there is probably some way in which we can address what is happening.

So much of the time, breastfeeding challenges are the result of nervous system interruption or disorganization experienced by either baby or mom during the birth or postpartum process. By taking the time to talk with you about what you may be experiencing, observing you and your baby, and supporting one or both of your nervous systems and reflexes, we can often resolve mysterious and complex challenges quite easily.
